He IS Ever with Us THROUGH the Winter!

Well, it is still winter here in Michigan...and some things which have happened of late caused my heart to stir and The Lord reminded me of His bird called the "Cardinal".
It is quite a tall bird (8.75 inches/22 cm. with a 12 inch wingspan) compared to the little ones who come to the feeders with him.
But the cardinal has a very, very gentle spirit....and he will yield - allowing the other little birds to feed first, while he patiently sits and waits for them to finish....or he will quietly feed beside the others.
Now, this photo was taken last winter during January of 2009 when we had very bitter, cold winds and snow here in Michigan.
The wind chill was -20F/-30C. THAT IS COLD!!!!!!
During the winter, many of our summer birds migrate south. But not the cardinal.
He stays all the time during the tough winters. He never leaves.
And he always gives us great joy whenever we see him, because he stands out so brilliantly - oftentimes against the faded sun of winter.
You see, the papa cardinal is symbolic of the Blood of Christ.
And as the cardinal never leaves us in the winter...neither does Jesus.
When we go through the winters of life's bitter, cold storms...
~or the fires which burn 7 times hotter....
~He is always there with us....
~And when the winter is done....
~He will bring the song of the turtle dove.
This is His Promise....
~For He Who Promised IS Faithful and True.
Be Blessed Today, Beloved of His Heart!
Hebrews 13:5b (Amplified) "...for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up, nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will not], [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]"
Song of Solomon 2:11-12 "For, behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds] has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."

Welcome ~

The purpose of this blog is to encourage our walk in Christ; together in Him; for as we develop our relationship with the Lord, we ARE more than conquerors through Christ Jesus! Praise God!
